Hello, folks!
Updates on a few things here.
The Bad Romance anthology, which includes my romantic thriller short ‘Beneath the Blue Irises’ is estimated to be published on January 28th, 2020.
My dark fantasy short story ‘The Best Spice’ has been submitted to an anthology. No word yet on if has been accepted.
My thriller drabble ‘The Plunge’ has been submitted to an an anthology. No word yet if it has been accepted.
I will be going on a bit of a hiatus for a couple months to have a much-needed surgery. As a result, the monthly Author Spotlight readings at Elissimo have been suspended, likely until February 2020. We have a lot planned for these events moving forward, so stay tuned for those details. In the meantime, everyone enjoy the Holiday Season with your loved ones, and I’ll see you in 2020!

I’ve decided to pull both ‘Not Yet Dark‘ and ‘Beneath the Blue Irises‘ from the market, so I can do some significant rewrites and additions to them. Although the details are different, in both cases I felt the stories were not fully baked and needed changes to get them where I want them to be. I do feel that both contain some of my best writing in parts, just not as a whole.
I’ve also begun outlining a story I’ve had in mind for years, one which I unofficially call ‘All the Changing Seasons.’ This is significant for me personally for a few reasons, one of which is that this is the first net new story I’ve begun writing in well over a year. All other work has been on tweaking\finalizing\marketing old stories, as well as things like the website and the monthly local author readings at Elissimo. Feels good to have those creative juices flowing again!

Expect the Unexpected
Hello, folks! I know I’ve been AWOL lately, but the day job, family life, and medical issues have kept me tied up quite a bit lately. I haven’t gotten much writing in the past couple months as a result. Despite all of that I have made advances with stories already completed, and I have some updates for you all as a result.
Stay tuned for more, and happy Cinco de Mayo!

Expect the Unexpected
A renewed, old story from 2.5 years ago has been resurrected, revitalized, and submitted to an anthology last Friday, 11/30. ‘Beneath the Blue Irises’ is about relationships, and what one would do to protect their children.
I’ve written you more times than I can count, every letter crumpled and tossed in the general direction of the wastebasket in the corner. There’s no point in sending them when they all boil down to ‘I’m sorry, I miss you.’ If reading those words gouges holes in your heart anywhere near as deep as the wounds writing them ripped into mine, sending these letters would be just another selfish act on my part. I think you’ve had enough of those.
More details to come….
